In the opinion of the editor, the best interpretation of the situation is that there were a series of pits dug in the same location at various times. A late occupation pit a8, was cut into the fill, f131 of a larger pit, a11. The cut of a11 was designated as f132 and at its bottom, it cut the formal flagstone courtyard, f216.
